Ingredients

Yeast dough

  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1½ tsp dry yeast
  • 120 ml water
  • 200 g flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

For brushing

  • 100 g sugar, brown
  • 6-8 tbsp water
  • 75 g sesame

Utensils

  • bowl
  • sieve
  • towel
  • tablespoon
  • pan
  • frying pan
  • rolling pin
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • damp cloth

Instructions

Prepare the dough

  1. Mix the sugar, yeast and warm water in a bowl.
  2. Leave the yeast solution to stand in a warm place for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Sieve the flour and mix with the salt.
  4. Add the water and oil to the dry ingredients.
  5. Knead into a smooth and elastic dough.
  6. Roll the dough into a ball, place in a large bowl.
  7. Cover with a towel, let rise 60-90 minutes

Boil syrup for brushing

  1. Brown sugar with 3 Combine tablespoons of water in a saucepan.
  2. Simmer the mixture over low heat, stirring, until thickened.
  3. Bring the syrup to the consistency of runny honey, then remove from the heat.
  4. Let cool completely.
  5. Add 3 to 4 Mix in tablespoons of water.
  6. Roast the sesame seeds in a dry pan for 2-3 minutes until golden.
  7. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.

Prepare the sesame rings

  1. As soon as the volume of the dough has doubled, knead the dough and divide into 4-6 equal portions .
  2. Each piece into a 50-60 cm long Ro Shape each.
  3. Fold each roll in half, then twist and stretch.
  4. Connect the ends to form a bagel.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Dunk or brush each piece in the syrup .
  7. Then sprinkle with sesame seeds on all sides.
  8. Place on the baking tray, cover with a damp cloth and leave to stand in a warm place for 30-40 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  10. Sesame rings for approx. 15 -Bake for 17 minutes until golden.
  11. Then remove and serve warm or slightly chilled.
