Tender spread with zucchini

Using this recipe, you can conjure up a delicious spread from ordinary processed cheese, herbs and fresh courgettes in just 20 minutes. Served with bread or baguette, it makes a great appetizer or snack.

  • 1 onion
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • ¼ bunch of parsley
  • ¼ bunch of dill
  • 100 g processed cheese


  1. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.
  2. Wash the zucchini and also cut into small cubes.
  3. Peel the carrot and grate it on a coarse grater.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan.
  5. First, the onions for approx. 2-3 minutes sauté.
  6. Then add the carrots, stir and sauté for a further 2 minutes.
  7. Add the zucchini cubes, season with salt and pepper and mix together.
  8. Then cover and let the vegetables simmer for about 10 minutes until they are soft.
  9. Parsley , Roughly chop the dill and add to the vegetables in the pan.
  10. Finally stir in the processed cheese and puree everything with a hand blender to a smooth paste.
  11. Serve the spread with baguette or bread.
