Sweet and sour cranberry sauce with apple, orange and lemon for the meat
Ingredients
- 1 apple, sweet and sour variety
- 1 orange, unwaxed
- 1 lemon, unwaxed
- 350 g cranberries
- 300-350 g sugar
- 250 ml water

Instructions
- Peel the apple and cut into small pieces.
- Wash the orange and lemon thoroughly and rub dry.
- Grate the citrus peel with a fine grater.
- Squeeze the juice out of the flesh.
- Put the cranberries in a saucepan with the sugar .
- Pour in the water.
- Let the whole thing simmer for about 5 minutes over a low heat.
- Pour the apple, grated citrus zest and citrus juice into the saucepan.
- Let the cranberry sauce simmer over a low heat for about 15 minutes while stirring, until it has thickened.
- The cranberry sauce goes well with game or poultry dishes.
