Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated, fresh
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 3 tsp black tea
  • ¾ cup milk
  • cinnamon, optional

Utensils

  • pan
  • sieve

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a saucepan.
  2. Add the grated ginger, cover with the lid and simmer over low heat for about 7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the sugar and simmer for another minute.
  4. Then increase the heat until the liquid almost boiling.
  5. Add the black tea, reduce the heat and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, heat the milk and then pour it into the tea.
  7. Ginger tea, bring to the boil again and simmer for about a minute.
  8. Finally, strain the ginger tea through a sieve and pour into cups.
