Spicy fried calamari with garlic in white wine sauce
Ingredients
- 600-650 g calamari, peeled
- 8-10 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2-3 tbsp white wine, dry
- 1½ limes
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- herbs, to taste
- rice, cooked, to taste
Utensils

Instructions
- Cut the calamari into rings.
- Cut the garlic into medium to large slices.
- Heat the vegetable oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the garlic.
- Fry an additional 10-15 seconds.
- Calamari -Place the rings in the pan.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the wine and the squeezed lime juice.
- Cook for a further minute to allow the white wine sauce to warm up.
- Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with chopped herbs.
- Serve the calamari on rice, drizzle with the remaining white wine sauce and serve.
