Ingredients

  • 600-650 g calamari, peeled
  • 8-10 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2-3 tbsp white wine, dry
  • 1½ limes
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • herbs, to taste
  • rice, cooked, to taste

Utensils

  • frying pan
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • mixing spoon
  • citrus press

Instructions

  1. Cut the calamari into rings.
  2. Cut the garlic into medium to large slices.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the garlic.
  5. Fry an additional 10-15 seconds.
  6. Calamari -Place the rings in the pan.
  7. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  8. Add the wine and the squeezed lime juice.
  9. Cook for a further minute to allow the white wine sauce to warm up.
  10. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with chopped herbs.
  11. Serve the calamari on rice, drizzle with the remaining white wine sauce and serve.
