Ingredients

  • 250g margarine
  • 70-100g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • ¼ tsp lemon zest
  • 5 eggs
  • 500ml milk
  • 500g spelled flour
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • applesauce, for serving
  • blueberries , for serving
  • oil, for greasing

Utensils

  • stand mixer
  • ladle
  • waffle iron
  • wooden spoon

Instructions

  1. Put the margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon zest, eggs, spelled flour and flour in a blender.
  2. Mix everything together to form a smooth batter.
  3. Preheat the waffle iron.
  4. Grease with oil.
  5. Pour the waffle batter into the hot iron in batches give.
  6. Approx. Fry 10 spelled waffles until golden brown.
  7. Serve the waffles with applesauce and blueberries.
