Italians swear by something sweet for breakfast (to stave off cravings), a portion of Italian pasta for lunch (which is smaller than the pasta found in Germany) and copious amounts of espresso, which boosts digestion and metabolism. Those who prefer Greek food can have Greek yoghurt for breakfast, a Greek salad (with feta) for lunch and keftedes with yoghurt dip for dinner. The Asians often take this request literally – however, they are not concerned with environmental protection and sustainability, but with the color of their food. The Asian food number 1, rice, also fulfills this function: it contains complex carbohydrates that keep you full for a long time and drain the body, since rice has a very high proportion of potassium. Incidentally, the Asian variant of espresso is green tea, which is said to boost the metabolism. Broth, which is low in calories and still provides minerals and vitamins, is an important part of Asian cuisine.
Save fat and preserve vitamins
Certainly there are delicacies fried crispy in deep-frying fat, which are often served as a finger food starter in Asian restaurants – but this is not healthy and typically Asian. The motto there is to save fat and to steam the food instead of aggressive deep-frying and roasting. This not only saves calories, but also preserves the healthy vitamins that are quickly lost when roasting and deep-frying. In addition, the Asians have mastered a trick with which they enhance their food, boost their metabolism and also satisfy cravings. This “trick” is called fermenting and describes the soaking of chopped vegetables in a brine.

It is a basic rule of Asian cuisine, where fish is preferred to meat. While meat is often rich in fats, seafood and fish are particularly rich in so-called unsaturated fatty acids, which are important for the body and also stimulate the metabolism. Spicy food against obesity
