Simple fish soup with potatoes

A simple but delicious with carp that tastes incredibly good. Here the broth is strong and clear, the vegetables are very aromatic and the herbs give the soup a spicy note.

Ingredients

  • 2 kg carp, whole
  • 1 onion
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • 1 carrot
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • ½ bunch dill
  • 3-4 potatoes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 3- 4 l water
  • salt, to taste
  • 2-3 tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Clean and gut the carp, remove the gills, head and fins.
  2. Chop the fish roughly with the knife.
  3. Peel the onions, garlic, potatoes and carrots.
  4. Separate the parsley and dill leaves from the stalks.
  5. The Cut the potatoes into small cubes.
  6. Put the fish head and tail in a saucepan.
  7. Add the herb stems, onion, garlic, carrot, bay leaf and pepper.
  8. Pour cold water over the fish and vegetables.
  9. Bring the water to a boil .
  10. Remove the foam and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
  11. Strain the broth, set aside the carrots.
  12. Return the boil and season with salt.
  13. Cut the cooked carrots into small cubes.
  14. Potatoes in add the broth, cook for 7-10 minutes.
  15. Add the fish.
  16. Cook the soup over low heat for a further 10 minutes.
  17. Cut the tomatoes into large cubes.
  18. Add the diced tomatoes and carrots to the soup.
  19. Cook fish soup for another 5-6 minutes.
  20. parsley and dill Chop finely.
  21. Sprinkle the herbs over the fish soup and remove from the heat.
