Red cabbage with apple and onions for meat dishes
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- ½ red cabbage, medium-sized
- 500 g apples, sweet and sour variety
- 50 ml apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 60 ml vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions
- Finely chop the onion.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
- Add the onions and sauté until translucent, about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Chop the cabbage.

- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered .
- After about 20 minutes the cabbage will be soft and ready to serve.
