Quark pockets with a delicious filling made from granulated cottage cheese
Ingredients
Dough
- 80 g butter, softened
- 150 g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch of salt
- 4 tbsp sour cream
- 400 g flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
Filling
- 300 g cottage cheese
- 1 egg
- 1-2 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp sour cream
- 50 g powdered sugar, for serving

- Hand mixer
- Sieve
- Cookie cutter

- Dough roller

Instructions
Prepare the dough
- Beat the soft butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add the salt and eggs and mix well.
- Add the sour cream while stirring.
- Sieve the flour and mix with the baking powder.
- Mix the butter and egg mixture with the flour mix.
- Knead everything into a soft, smooth dough.
- Wrap the dough in cling film and place in the fridge for 30-40 minutes.
Prepare the filling
- Rub the cottage cheese granules through a sieve.
- The egg whites with salt and sugar in a mixing bowl.
- Add the granulated cheese, the flour and the sour cream and mix everything together to form an even quark filling.
Prepare quark pockets
- Dust the work surface with a little flour.
- Cut the dough into 2 equal parts .
- Roll out the first half of the dough into flat cakes about 0.5 cm thick.
- Cut out circles with a round cutter 9-10 cm in diameter.
- Press the pieces of dough together, roll out again and cut out circles again.
- On one half of a circle Put 1 tablespoon of quark filling, fold the other half on top and press together gently.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C, line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Place the quark pockets on the baking tray and bake for approx. 25 minutes.
