Portuguese fried potatoes with salt and pepper
Ingredients
- 650 g potatoes
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- ½ tsp salt
- Black pepper, to taste
Utensils
- peeler
- knife
- cutting board
- frying pan
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes, cut into slices no more than 1cm thick.
- Heat the butter and vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Place the potatoes in a single layer, sauté for about 10-12 minutes.
- Turn occasionally.
- Salt and pepper the finished potatoes.
- Place the fried potatoes on top of each other when serving, cover with a sauce or a vegetable salad.
Depending on the thickness of the slices, the preparation time may vary slightly and would have to be adjusted.
