Everyone knows pizza – but you can really surprise your guests with a pizza flower. First, a pizza dough is prepared and rolled into three round flatbreads. The filling made of peppers, sausage, cheese and tomato pesto is spread between two flatbreads. Cut into pieces of cake and rolled up, this creates a pizza flower after baking that tastes fantastic.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 600 g flour
  • 300 ml water, warm
  • 1 p dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 50 ml olive oil

Filling

  • 100 g sausage, to taste
  • 100 g Red peppers
  • Scallions, optional, to taste
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • 100 g mozzarella, grated
  • 50 g tomato pesto

Instructions

Prepare the filling

  1. Cut the peppers and sausage into small pieces.
  2. Cut the spring onions into rings.
  3. Stir in the tomato pesto and mix in the cheese.

Prepare the dough

  1. Mix all the ingredients (dry yeast, sugar, salt, lukewarm water, oil and flour) together Knead the dough.
  2. Put in a bowl and leave to rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into three pieces and roll out each ball of dough into a large, very flat flatbread.
  4. Each flatbread should be a maximum of 3 mm thick be.

Prepare the pizza

  1. Place the first flatbread on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  2. Half the filling.
  3. Spread half over the first flatbread.
  4. Sprinkle with cheese.
  5. Place the second flatbread on top, the Spread the rest of the filling and then place the third flatbread on top.
  6. Place an inverted glass in the middle of the stacked flatbreads.
  7. Cut approx. 16 pieces of cake from the glass.
  8. Turn each piece of dough inwards twice, remove the glass and the pizza flower with cheese b Sprinkle.
  9. Bake the pizza flower at approx. 220° for approx. 25 minutes.

The pieces of the pizza flower are easy to pluck! The pizza flower is an eye-catcher at every party!
