Pickled red onions with vinegar for grilled meat
Ingredients
- 4 red onions
- 5-8 black peppercorns
- 50 g sugar
- ½ tbsp salt
- 200 ml water
- 65 ml vinegar, 9%

Instructions
- Cut the onion in half rings.
- Place the onion half rings in a saucepan.
- Add the peppercorns.
- Dissolve the sugar and salt in the water.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add the vinegar and stir.
- The Pour the hot marinade over the onions and cover them well.
- Leave the onions to stand for about 30 minutes.
- The cooled onions can be served immediately or stored in the fridge.
The pickled onions go well with the meat.
