Pasta Bolognese made from minced meat sauce on tagliatelle

Pasta Bolognese is one of the most popular Italian dishes. Bolognese is a thick tomato and meat sauce with vegetables, served in this classic version with tagliatelle, the thick Italian pasta. The meat part consists of minced meat, mainly beef or mixed with pork.

  • 500 g ground beef
  • olive oil, to taste
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 100 g parmesan cheese
  • 400 g peeled tomatoes
  • oregano, to taste
  • rosemary, to taste
  • basil, to taste
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 400 ml water
  • 300 g tagliatelle


  1. Cut the onion and carrot into fine strips.
  2. Fry them together with the chopped garlic in a pan with a little oil.
  3. Add the minced meat and fry for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Cut the peeled tomatoes into small pieces and add to the minced meat.
  5. Pour in the water, salt and bring to the boil.
  6. Cook the Bolognese over a medium heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Cook the tagliatelle in salted water and drain.
  8. At the end of the cooking time, season with oregano and rosemary.
  9. Serve Bolognese on tagliatelle, sprinkle with grated parmesan and garnish with basil leaves.
