Leaf salad with smoked mackerel, beetroot and apples
Ingredients
- 1 beetroot
- 250 g mackerel, smoked
- 1 apple
- 1 bunch lettuce
- 1 lemon
- 3-4 tbsp olive oil
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- walnuts, to taste Taste
Utensils

Instructions
- Put the beetroot in a saucepan, add water and boil for approx. 2 hours.
- Let it cool down.
- Then peel the beetroot and cut into thin slices.
- Cut the mackerel into bite-sized pieces.
- Wash the apple and chop into thin wedges.
- Wash the lettuce, spin dry and cut.
- Put the beetroot, mackerel, apple and lettuce in a bowl.
- Use the lemon squeezer to squeeze approx. 1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice from the lemon into a small bowl.
- Add olive oil, salt and pepper and mix together.
- Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and mix together.
- Chop the walnuts and sprinkle over the salad just before serving.
