Hearty potato cake with minced meat and onions
Ingredients
Dough
- 350 ml milk
- 10 g dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 550-650 g flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 100 ml vegetable oil
- 1 egg
Filling
- 600 g potatoes
- 1-2 Onions
- 500 g minced meat, of your choice
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp butter

Instructions
Knead the dough
- First, mix 100 ml of warm milk with dry yeast, sugar and some flour and leave to stand for about 15 minutes.
- Then add 1 teaspoon of salt, vegetable oil, egg and the remaining milk to the yeast mixture and stir well in the food processor.
- Gradually add the flour in batches and knead into a soft, elastic dough.
- Grease a bowl and cover with a towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
Prepare the filling
- In the In the meantime, peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes.
- Peel and chop the onions.
- Mix the potatoes, onions and minced meat well together in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
Bake the potato cake
- Line a baking tray with baking paper … Cover with it.
- Fold up the edges of the bottom dough and seal with the top layer of dough so that the filling is sealed inside.
- Bake the potato cake at 180° C for about 50-60 minutes.
- Grease the finished cake with butter and let stand covered with a towel for about 25 minutes.
- Cut the potato cake into pieces before serving and enjoy with a cup of tea.
