Ingredients

Dough

  • 350 ml milk
  • 10 g dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 550-650 g flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 100 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 egg

Filling

  • 600 g potatoes
  • 1-2 Onions
  • 500 g minced meat, of your choice
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter

Utensils

Instructions

Knead the dough

  1. First, mix 100 ml of warm milk with dry yeast, sugar and some flour and leave to stand for about 15 minutes.
  2. Then add 1 teaspoon of salt, vegetable oil, egg and the remaining milk to the yeast mixture and stir well in the food processor.
  3. Gradually add the flour in batches and knead into a soft, elastic dough.
  4. Grease a bowl and cover with a towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

Prepare the filling

  1. In the In the meantime, peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes.
  2. Peel and chop the onions.
  3. Mix the potatoes, onions and minced meat well together in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.

Bake the potato cake

  1. Line a baking tray with baking paper … Cover with it.
  2. Fold up the edges of the bottom dough and seal with the top layer of dough so that the filling is sealed inside.
  3. Bake the potato cake at 180° C for about 50-60 minutes.
  4. Grease the finished cake with butter and let stand covered with a towel for about 25 minutes.
  5. Cut the potato cake into pieces before serving and enjoy with a cup of tea.
