Ingredients

Dough

  • 50 g butter, softened
  • 100 g icing sugar
  • 1/2 cup vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 160 ml milk
  • 160 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 70 g cocoa
  • 1 pinch salt

Frosting

  • 125 g butter, softened
  • 250 g icing sugar
  • 1 p vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp orange food colouring

Utensils

  • hand mixer
  • bowl
  • muffin cups
  • paper cups
  • piping bag

Instructions

Batter

  1. Beat soft butter, sugar with vanilla sugar and eggs until fluffy.
  2. Stir in the milk.
  3. Mix together the flour with baking powder, cocoa powder and salt.
  4. Fold the flour mixture into the butter mixture.
  5. Fill the muffin cups halfway with the batter and set aside for approx Bake for 25 minutes at 180°C.

Frosting

  1. Whip the room temperature butter and vanilla sugar until creamy.
  2. Stir in the icing sugar and food coloring.
  3. Fill the cooled muffins with orange frosting using a piping nozzle.
  4. Decorate the cupcakes with sugar sprinkles as you like.
