Fried fish in batter for special occasions
Ingredients
- 1500-1800 g fish, e.g. pollack or another fish
- salt, to taste
- ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 eggs
- 250 ml milk
- 180-200 g flour
- vegetable oil, approx .500-600 for frying
Utensils
- kitchen scale
- measuring cup
- cutting board
- knife
- bowl
- whisk
- strainer
- frying pan
- spatula
Instructions
- Wash the fish, peel off the skin.
- Cut the fish fillet into portions.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Leave to stand for 10-15 minutes.
- For the batter, place eggs in a bowl with ½ teaspoon of salt and milk Whisk together.
- Sieve in the flour.
- Mix well with a whisk to form a thick batter.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan at high temperature.
- Draw the fish fillets through the batter.
- In the hot oil from both sides 3 -Fry for 4 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Then place the fish on paper towels to drain.
Serve the fish with mashed potatoes, bread or a fresh salad.
