Fluffy Kaiserschmarrn with berries and jam for breakfast

  • 40g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 250g flour
  • 500ml milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 30g sugar
  • icing sugar, for serving
  • slivered almonds, toasted, for serving


  1. Mix the flour, sugar, salt and egg yolks with the milk until the mixture is smooth and thick.
  2. Beat the egg whites and fold into the batter.
  3. Heat the butter in a pan.
  4. Pour in the egg mixture without stirring .
  5. Turn after a few minutes and tear into pieces.
  6. Fry for a few minutes.
  7. Serve the Kaiserschmarrn on a plate.
  8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and flaked almonds and serve with fresh berries or jam.
