Easy pear cake with nuts, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla
Ingredients
- 2-3 pears
- 65g nuts, eg pecans
- 120ml vegetable oil + some for greasing
- 2 eggs
- 200g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200g flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp nutmeg, ground
- 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
- Peel and finely dice the pears.
- Roughly chop the nuts.
- Preheat the oven to 175°C.
- Grease a loaf tin for the cake with the oil.
- Mix the eggs, sugar and oil in a mixer Whisk together until smooth and light.
- Sieve the flour and mix in a bowl with the baking soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
- Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture.
- Mix the batter well until smooth is.
- Mix in the pear, nuts and vanilla extract.
- Pour the finished batter into the loaf pan.
- Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes.
- Serve the pear cake with tea.
Any kind of nuts can be used for the pear cake. However, pecans are the best.
