Delicious apple pie with quark, poppy seeds and almonds for coffee
Ingredients
Dough
- 100 g butter, cold
- 100 g icing sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 egg
- 250 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
Filling
- 500 g quark
- 30 g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 2 eggs
- 500 g apples, peeled, diced
- 20 g brown sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 250 g baking poppy seeds
Topping
- 100 g butter
- 50 g sugar
- 100 g slivered almonds
- 30 g cream
Utensils
- Food processor
- Bowl
- Hand mixer
- Springform pan Ø 26 cm
- Parchpaper

Instructions
Knead the dough
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Line the bottom of the springform pan with baking paper.
- Put the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar in the mixing bowl of the food processor.
- Add the butter, egg, flour and baking powder and knead into a crumbly dough knead.
- Pour the dough into the prepared springform pan and smooth it out with your hands.
Prepare the filling and topping
- Put the quark, sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs in a bowl.
- Stir everything until smooth with a hand mixer.
- Spread the poppy seeds evenly over the cake base.
- Spread the prepared quark filling on top.
- Distribute the apples in cubes over the quark mixture.
- Mix the brown sugar with the cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the apples.
- Prepare the apple pie for approx Bake for 35 minutes at 180°C.
- Heat the butter and the sugar in a saucepan.
- Add the flaked almonds and cream and mix well.
- Put the almond mixture on the pre-baked apple cake.
- Keep the cake for a further 20 minutes Bake at 180°C.
- Let the apple pie cool down and cut into pieces.
- Serve with coffee or tea.
