Ingredients

  • 600 g spinach, frozen
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2-3 sprigs of dill
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 250 g puff pastry
  • sesame, to taste

Instructions

  1. Thaw the spinach.
  2. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
  3. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Sauté the onion and garlic until translucent and remove from the heat.
  5. Squeeze the excess water out of the spinach and discard toss with the onions and garlic.
  6. Add the chopped dill, salt and pepper and stir.
  7. Chop the feta into small cubes and add to the spinach mixture.
  8. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and mix in half with the spinach filling.
  9. Den Roll out the puff pastry and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  10. Distribute the finished filling evenly over the puff pastry. Leave a 2-2.5 cm border.
  11. Roll up the puff pastry into a roll.
  12. Place the strudel with the seam down.
  13. Grush the spinach strudel with the remaining egg.
  14. Use a sharp knife to make small incisions in the Score the strudel.
  15. Bake the spinach strudel at 180°C for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
