Ingredients

  • 1-2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 250 g puff pastry
  • 4 eggs
  • 120 ml milk
  • Salt, to taste
  • 150 g ham
  • 80-100 g cheese
  • Green onions, or other herbs to taste
  • Taste
  • Dried herbs, to taste

Utensils

  • 20-22 cm round baking dish
  • bowl
  • knife
  • whisk
  • cutting board
  • cheese grater

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Grease a 20-22 cm round baking tin.
  • Cut the dough into rounds.
  • This should be slightly larger than the diameter of the cake tin.
  • Place the dough in the tin and flatten press the bottom and sides.
  • Use a whisk to whisk together the eggs, milk and salt.
  • Slice the ham.
  • Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
  • Chop the herbs or green onion.
  • Mix the meat, most of the cheese and the herbs.
  • Spread over the dough.
  • Cover the quiche with the egg and milk mixture.
  • Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  • The quiche for 25 to 35 Bake minutes until batter is browned and egg mixture has set.
