Ingredients

  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 1-2 onions
  • 100-150 g of bacon
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Utensils

  • kitchen scale
  • cutting board
  • knife
  • vegetable peeler
  • frying pan

Instructions

  1. Peel and wash the potatoes and onions.
  2. Cut the potatoes into sticks and the onions into half rings.
  3. Dice the bacon finely.
  4. Heat a frying pan over high heat.
  5. Add the bacon cubes to the pan.
  6. Simmer, stirring, for approx. Fry for 5 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Add the potatoes to the pan and stir.
  8. Fry for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. Add the onions, fry for another 10 minutes.
  10. Add about 3-5 minutes before the end of the Season the roast potatoes with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve fried potatoes with bacon with pickles, if desired.
