Ingredients

Cream

  • 2 tbsp wheat flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 200 g butter

Dough

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instructions

Prepare the cream

  1. Mix 1 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons cocoa, 2 tablespoons flour and 1 egg with 1 cup milk.
  2. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Let cool and add 200g softened butter.
  4. Mix everything into a smooth cream.

Prepare the dough

  1. Wheat flour, 3 tbsp cocoa, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, 100 g butter, 1 egg and baking powder and stir into a smooth dough.
  2. Grip the baking tin with oil and sprinkle with the Fill the dough, then bake for approx. 30 minutes.
  3. Let the pastry base cool down and cut in half horizontally 2 or 3 times.
  4. Put the cream on each base, smooth it out and also coat the edge with cream.
  5. The surface of the chocolate cake can be coated with glaze, couverture or ganache according to taste.
