Ingredients

  • 200 g ground almonds
  • 2 egg whites
  • 180 g icing sugar
  • ½ tbsp cinnamon
  • ½ tbsp kirsch

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg whites until stiff.
  2. Gradually sift in the icing sugar.
  3. Remove about 1/3 of the egg whites for the glaze and set aside.
  4. Add the almonds, cinnamon and kirsch to the remaining egg whites and form a sticky almond dough knead.
  5. Wrap the almond dough in foil and place in the fridge for at least an hour.
  6. Take the dough out of the fridge and roll it out between two pieces of cling film to a thickness of 5 mm.
  7. Use a star shape to cut out the biscuits.

  9. Place the cinnamon stars on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
