Chili con carne with tomatoes, beans and ground turkey
Ingredients
- 1¹⁄₂ tsp olive oil
- 400g ground turkey
- 1 onion
- 2 cups water
- 800g tomato passata, in their own juice
- 350g canned kidney beans
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp chilli, ground
- ¹⁄₂ tsp paprika
- ¹⁄₂ tsp oregano, dried
- ¹⁄₂ tsp cayenne pepper
- ¹⁄₂ tsp cumin, ground
- ¹⁄₂ tsp black pepper, ground
- salt, to taste

Instructions
- Heat the oil in a deep pan.
- Add the ground turkey to the pan and brown, stirring, over medium-high heat.
- Add the finely chopped onions and continue to cook until the onions are soft.
- Water, tomato passata, Add the beans and minced garlic and stir.
- Add all the spices and mix well. Bring everything to a boil.
- Reduce heat to minimum and simmer, stirring, for about 30 minutes.
- Chili con carne can be served with bread, rice, pasta, or as a standalone dish.
