Chicken fillet souvlaki in a spicy marinade with herbs
Ingredients
- 10 garlic cloves
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 60ml olive oil
- 60ml dry white wine
- 1200 g chicken fillet
- 2 bay leaves

Instructions
- Peel and press the garlic.
- Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- For the marinade, mix the garlic, lemon juice, all the spices, salt, oil and white wine in a small bowl with a whisk.
- Cut the chicken fillet into bite-sized pieces and Place in a bowl.
- Pour the marinade over it.
- Mix everything well so that the marinade is evenly distributed.
- Mix in the bay leaves.
- Cover the meat and place in the fridge for at least 2-4 hours to marinate.
- Wooden skewers Soak in cold water for 30-40 minutes.
- Put the pieces of meat on the skewers.
- Grill the chicken souvlaki for about 5-7 minutes while turning.
- Brush the marinade 1-2 times.
- You can make souvlaki also bake in the oven at 250°C for approx. 12-15 minutes.
- Serve chicken souvlaki with pita bread, tzatziki sauce or Greek salad.
