Ingredients

Dough

  • 500 g wheat flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 0.5 glass sugar
  • 1 tbsp vodka, or cognac
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 kg clarified butter, for frying

Syrup and nut mixture

  • 500 g honey
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup poppy seeds, or sesame seeds
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions

Prepare the dough

  1. Separate the eggs, grate the yolks with the sugar until the mixture turns white.
  2. Beat the egg whites until stiff.
  3. Mix the yolks with the egg whites, add milk, vodka or cognac, mix well. Mix the salt with flour, add to the
