Ingredients

  • 1 bunch mint, large
  • 1 l vodka
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 ml water

Utensils

  • glass container
  • pot

Instructions

  1. Rinse the mint.
  2. Place in a glass container and pour vodka over it.
  3. If the mint isn’t completely covered by the alcohol, add a little more.
  4. Leave the jar in a dark place at room temperature for 2-3 weeks
  5. Shake the container 1-2 times a day for the first week and a half.
  6. Strain the resulting infusion.
  7. Mix the sugar and water in a saucepan.
  8. Boil over medium-high heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves .
  9. Let the whole thing cool.
  10. Pour about half of the syrup into the infusion.
  11. Stir well.
  12. Add more syrup if a slightly sweeter liqueur is desired.
