Ingredients

  • 1 kg pears, peeled
  • 500 g sugar
  • 1 orange
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Peel, core and slice the pears.
  2. Place the pears in a saucepan and cover with sugar.
  3. Stir everything and leave for 3-4 hours.
  4. Peel the orange and chop finely.
  5. Cut the orange pulp into pieces.
  6. Add the cinnamon stick, orange and zest to the pears in the saucepan and stir.
  7. Bring the jam to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Let the pear jam cool completely.
  9. The Repeat cooking for about 10 minutes and leave to cool.
  10. Pour the pear jam into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
  11. Keep the jam in a cool, dark place.
