Ingredients

  • 750 g pears, juicy fruits
  • 100 g walnut kernels
  • 180 g butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g dark chocolate, 75% cocoa solids
  • 140 g white sugar, or brown sugar
  • 140 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp honey

Utensils

  • hand mixer
  • spatula
  • knife
  • pan
  • springform pan

Instructions

  1. Beat the eggs with the sugar with a mixer.
  2. Add the softened butter and beat until smooth.
  3. Sieve in the flour and baking powder and stir with a spatula.
  4. Chop the chocolate with a knife.
  5. Toast the walnuts in a pan without fat and grind them in a blender.
  6. Add the chopped walnuts to the batter and stir.
  7. Add the chocolate and stir with a spatula as well.
  8. Wash and peel the pears.
  9. A 6- Cut 8 pear slices very thinly and set aside for garnish.
  10. Dice the remaining pears.
  11. Add the diced pear pieces to the batter.
  12. Stir gently with a spatula to distribute the fruit pieces evenly in the batter.
  13. One Place a piece of round baking paper in a springform pan with a diameter of 24 cm.
  14. Grease the edges of the baking pan with butter.
  15. Dust the edges with flour.
  16. Pour the dough into the prepared springform pan.
  17. Put the pear strips on the dough on top of each other.
  18. Bake the pear cake at 160 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes.
  19. Put two tablespoons of liquid honey on the warm cake.
  20. Then cut the pear cake into pieces and enjoy with a cup of coffee.
