Aromatic pear cake with chocolate and walnuts
Ingredients
- 750 g pears, juicy fruits
- 100 g walnut kernels
- 180 g butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 50 g dark chocolate, 75% cocoa solids
- 140 g white sugar, or brown sugar
- 140 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp honey

Instructions
- Beat the eggs with the sugar with a mixer.
- Add the softened butter and beat until smooth.
- Sieve in the flour and baking powder and stir with a spatula.
- Chop the chocolate with a knife.
- Toast the walnuts in a pan without fat and grind them in a blender.
- Add the chopped walnuts to the batter and stir.
- Add the chocolate and stir with a spatula as well.
- Wash and peel the pears.
- A 6- Cut 8 pear slices very thinly and set aside for garnish.
- Dice the remaining pears.
- Add the diced pear pieces to the batter.
- Stir gently with a spatula to distribute the fruit pieces evenly in the batter.
- One Place a piece of round baking paper in a springform pan with a diameter of 24 cm.
- Grease the edges of the baking pan with butter.
- Dust the edges with flour.
- Pour the dough into the prepared springform pan.
- Put the pear strips on the dough on top of each other.
- Bake the pear cake at 160 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes.
- Put two tablespoons of liquid honey on the warm cake.
- Then cut the pear cake into pieces and enjoy with a cup of coffee.
